There were several byelections for Town Councils in the North West yesterday and the Liberal Democrats notched up a hold in one and two gains from Labour in two others.

East Ward, Alsager Town Council
Lib Dem 317 (46%) - new councillor June Buckley
Reform 283 (41%)
Ind 86 (13%)
Turnout 16.4%
Lib Dem GAIN from Labour

In the Nether Ward on Kendal Town Council we achieved 71% of the vote.
Lib Dem: 505 (71.0%) - new councillor Sharon Falshaw
RefUK: 126 (17.7%)
Green: 57 (8.02%)
Labour: 23 (3.2%)
Lib Dem HOLD.

In the East Ward on Penrith Town Council we achieved 58.1% of the vote in a ward that we gained from Labour. 
Lib Dem: 319 (58.1%) - new councillor Ron Kelly
Refuk: 142 (25.9%)
Labour: 59 (10.7%)
Ind: 29 (5.3%)
