Leap forward in Salford

Liberal Democrats had an excellent result in Salford last night in the council election for Blackfriars and Trinity ward.
We went from fifth place in May to third and just a whisker off taking second. Our vote share went up by 13% of the total vote, while other parties fell back or stood still.
Congratulations to Team Salford!
Labour: 51.8% (-2.3)
Green: 20.3% (-6.4)
Liberal Democrats: 19.3% (+13.0)
Con: 8.6% (+0.8)
