Carubia for Merseyside PCC
Wirral Councillor Chris Carubia is the Lib Dem candidate for Merseyside's Police & Crime Commissioner. Chris stood for the post previously in 2016.
At each police election our vote in Merseyside has increased - 7.3% in 2012 when the role was created, 11.5% in 2016, and 16.5% last time with some 51,979 Lib Dem votes.
​Chris says: "My campaign in 2016 was on maintaining a visible presence by defending front line policing, to protect neighbourhood policing and fully support our PCSOs.
"These to ensure swift and effective response to reports of anti-social behaviour, prioritising and tackling domestic violence and sexual exploitation and to champion the rights of victims and the use of restorative justice.
"I can honestly say, in my opinion, that these issues have not progressed in any meaningful way and still need to be championed.
"Let's get more feet on the street"
