Shaping Regional Policy

Your chance to shape Liberal Democrat policy in the North West comes this February with our Regional Spring Conference in Blackpool.

The regional policy committee welcome motion submissions whether fully fleshed-out motion texts, or an expression of a clear idea that they can help you to form into the right wording for a conference motion.

Last Autumn’s conference included debates on hydraulic fracturing (‘fracking’) and the government’s localism agenda.

There are guidance notes on submitting policy, along with dates for doing so ahead of Spring Conference, on the conference page of the website.

Conference bookings open

Bookings are now open for our Regional Spring Conference in Blackpool on Saturday, February 25th. It will be a campaigning conference ahead of the Local Elections which take place across most of the region in May.

Registration forms are included in the all-member North West Campaigner mailing, landing on doormats this week.

Jo takes the helm

New chair Jo

Our new regional exec team takes charge from today – as with most Lib Dem organisations and local parties across the country.

Our new Chair is Jo Crotty, with a new Fundraising Officer Sarah Harding.

The rest of the team looks familiar as those are the two Officer positions changing hands following the regional party internal elections in October.
